One of the most important ways to maintain good water quality and keep your fish thriving is seeding your aquarium with good bacteria. This bacteria breaks down harmful ammonia from fish waste and other organic matter and starts the aquarium nitrogen cycle. Fluval C4 C-Nodes Filter Media are enriched with oxygen to create an optimal environment where this beneficial bacteria can thrive. These small, triangular nodes have a higher filtration surface and more capacity than most biological filter media, reducing and controlling ammonia and nitrates.

Specifications

• Use to replace biological media for Fluval C aquarium filters (not included), and maximize biological filtrations for clean, healthy aquariums.

• Remove protective plastic bag and rinse C-Nodes thoroughly before use. Place them into biological Trickle Chamber. Over time the micro and macro tunnels of the C-Node pores system become clogged. If this happens, It is suggested to lightly rinse with aquarium water.

• Replace 1/2 the quantity of C-Nodes in your trickle chamber once every 6 months. Never replace all the C-Nodes at one time, as the valuable colonies of beneficial bacteria would be lost.
